Finish Me Anonymously: I Believe

“I don’t believe in a lot of things, but I do believe in duct tape.” – Miles Straume

“I believe, I believe… It’s silly, but I believe….” – Susan Walker

I believe in the power of

What do you believe in?

…if it’s meant to be, it’ll happen and if it doesn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be.

Colin McKay

That a life lived with energy and optimism, open to opportunity and relishing each and every moment, can leave a lasting impact on everyone you meet.

Miss Britt

Vitamin C.

Tea tree oil.

I believe in the power of sunshine and songbirds to turn darkness into light

I believe in happiness.

I believe in true love.

I believe in Santa.

I don’t believe in the Easter Bunny though.

I believe in the power of the written word.
I believe that most people truly go through life with the best of intentions, even though it may not always seem that way.
I believe that the love and support of family and good friends–near and far–can get me through anything. Anything.
I believe in God. If I didn’t, I couldn’t cope with so many of the injustices that life has served up to people I love. I also believe if there is no Him, there is no me.
I believe in love.
I believe in you, even when you don’t.

Andy Aldridge

I believe in:

– The healing power of salt water. Tears, sweat or the ocean will cure almost any problems.
– My bride, my daughter and my dog. Rarely in that order, though.
– Friends. Some people I would consider friends are people I’ve never met face-to-face. Despite that, conversations with them are sometimes the highlight of my day.
– New beginnings and recognizing when it’s time for one.
– Driving with the windows down and the radio off.
– Scotch and a good cigar. But only when there’s a reason for it.

As Crash Davis once said: “I believe in the soul, the [edited], the [edited], the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

I believe in:

– Knowing inherently when it’s not my place, and how to stay out of it
– The ability of my wife and kids to make me realize my most important job
– The balance of luck, fate, skills and intelligence
– The restorative power of silence
– Change for good, not for the sake of change

I believe in:

-My husband
-The restorative nature of a homecooked dinner with linen napkins and red wine
-My ability to somehow get the job done, whether or not I think I can
-The power of a chapter (any chapter) of Little Women to make me feel happy, strong and grateful

I believe in the power of:
– forthrightness and honesty with everyone.
– thoughtfulness and respect to kill seflishness.
– B-12 to cure a hangover.
– faith.
– hope.
– love.
– barbecue.

In myself to make decisions about life-changing events

The power of good books, long baths, red wine and back rubs to calm me down when I make those wrong decisions 🙂

The ability to not focus on the past but to look to the future

Ari Herzog

I believe in the power of passion.

A warm puppy to bring about happiness. (Thanks, Snoopy, for the sentiment!)

Love, but I also realize it’s never easy and takes a lot of hard work.

The lottery to change lives, but it just never seems to change the right ones.

Denise Dorman

I believe in the power of humor.

Some Guy

Smoke and mirrors.

The overwhelming capacity of the young and innocent to believe in themselves, even when that is wholly the wrong course of action to take.

Conversations that reach beyond 140 characters a pop.
