Jamie Oliver called me "darling."

Subtitled: Quite possibly the highlight of my young life.

I can’t exaggerate how excited I was to go to his book signing last night at the Union Square Barnes & Noble. And I got there in time and I got a third-row seat by luck and I got a copy of the book by luck and it was all just splendid.

Yes, I’m sure he’s called four thousand people “darling” this week alone. Yes, he’s a happily married man. Yes, it was a book signing, not a concert. Yes, it was for a cookbook. No, I’m not a very good cook. I don’t care. I don’t care if you make fun of me. I love this man and I am unafraid to profess that love.

By the way? In person? Just as hot. In case you were wondering.

It wasn’t just about Jamie’s Kitchen the cookbook; it was also about Fifteen and “Jamie’s Kitchen” the show.

It was fantastic.
